Mon Ami M'a Quitée is de eerste single van Les Chemins De Ma Maison, en uitgebracht in september 1983 in Quebec, en later ook in Frankrijk en België. In Frankrijk is Mon Ami M'a Quitée  uitgebracht om de verkoop van Du Soleil Au Coeur te promoten. In 1997 is er door BR music ook in Nederland een CD single uitgebracht van Mon Ami M'a Quitée, dit was om het verzamelalbum C'est Pour Toi te promoten.

Mon Ami M'a Quitée was erg succesvol in Quebec, zo kwam het binnen in de single charts io nummer 1 en bleef daar staan voor 9 weken, daarna stond het nog 15 weken in de chart staan. Ook heeft Céline voor Mon Ami M'a Quitée 2 Felix Awards gewonnen.

Céline heeft  Mon Ami M'a Quitée ook in het Duits opgenomen Mon Ami Geht Nicht Fort en staat op de B kant van de single van Was Bedeute Ich Dir, dit is een Duitstalige vertaling van D'amour Où D'amitié

Er werd speciaal voor de Les Chemins De Ma Maison special een videoclip gemaakt van  Mon Ami M'a Quitée.

Naast dat we Mon Ami M'a Quitée terug kunnen vinden op Les Chemin De Ma Maison, is het ook terug te vinden op Du Soleil Au Coeur, Les Plus Grand Succès, Les Chanson En Or en On Ne Change Pas.
