Une Colombe is de eerste single van het album Mélanie en uitgebracht in juni 1984 in Quebec, deze  single is niet in Europa uitgebracht.

De single was een enorme hit en kwam binnen op nummer 2 in de Charts.. De single ging in Canada 50.000 keer over de toonbank en Céline kreeg daarvoor en  goudne plaat.

Céline mocht dit nummer op 11 september 1984  live zingen  in het Olympisch stadion in Montréal ter ere van het  Paus Johannes Paulus II. In het stadion waren naast de Paus nog 65,000 mensen aanwezig.

Une Colombe won ook 2 Felix Awards eentje voor Best Selling Single en eentje vor Best Pop Song of the year
