Falling Into You is de eerste single voor Europa en Australië van het gelijknamige album, en uitgebracht om het aankomende album te ondersteunen op19 februari 1996 In andere delen van de wereld is Because You Loved Me uitgebracht als eerste single. Het nummer is al eerder uitgebracht door Marie-Claire D'Ubaldo die ook mee geschreven heeft aan het nummer.

Céline verteld een beetje over de opnames van dit nummer in de Biografie Céline Dion For Keeps:

“Ik was niet tevreden met de eerste opnames die we hadden gemaakt voor Falling Into You, het is een nummer met veel nuances en halve tonen, ik vond de arrangementen te gewelddadig, en mijn stem paste daar niet goed bij. Iedereen, zelfs René was tevreden, ik zei niets. Maar René voelde dat er iets aan de hand was, hoe vroeg me wat er aan scheelde. Ik heb hem toen uitgelegd, hij was verbaast, toen ik Falling Into You begon te neuriën en het uitlegde zoals ik het graag zou willen doen, begreep hij het en ging akkoord. Hij was wel verbaast, net alsof hij iets ondekt had.... Ik riep iedereen bij elkaar om te vertellen hoe ik het graag zou willen hebben, ze begrepen het en waren blij dat ik het ze verteld had... Falling Into You heeft mij doen beseffen dat ik gegroeit was als een artiest, ik was volwassener geworden, en niet zomaar iemand die alleen maar nummers opnam . We kwamen terug in de studio waar we Falling Into You opnamen, het werd nooit een nummer voor op de bühne, het is de zacht, te subtiel om het publiek mee te krijgen, maar ik zie het als een van de mooiste nummers op het album. En ik vind de tekst ook geweldig.”

De videoclip voor Falling Into You is geproduceerd door Nigel Dicks en opgenomen op 18 en 19 januari 1996 in Gorbio, Frankrijk.  En uitgebracht in februari 1996

Ondanks dat Céline Falling Into You geen nummer voor op de bühne vond heeft ze toch tijdens de Falling Into You tour het nummer aan de setlist toegevoegd, dit was alleen in 1996 in 1997 is het nummer vervangen voor een ander nummer.

Naast dat Falling Into You op Falling Into You staat kunnen we het ook terug vinden op de Australische uitgave van All The Way.... A Decade Of Song, The Colledctors Series Volume One en op de Europese uitgave van My Love: Essential Collection.
