Goodbye's (The Saddest Word) is de 3de en laatste commerciële single van A New Day Has Come en uitgebracht op 18 november 2002
Het nummer is geschreven en geproduceerd door Robert John “Mutt” Lange die ook al eerder met Céline samen heeft gewerkt in 1999, hij schreef en produceerde If Walls Could Talk, zijn toenmalige vrouw Shania Twain nam de Backing vocals voor haar rekening.

De videoclip voor Goodbye's (The Saddest Word) is geproduceerd door Chris Applebaum op 12 en 13 oktober 2002 in Parijs, Céline was toen in Parijs voor de promotie van A New Day Has Come, en nam van de gelegenheid gebruik om de videoclip daar op te nemen. Op de achtergrond zien we dan ook veel bekende gebouwen uit Parijs, zoals de Sacre Coeur en de Eifeltoren zijn te zien in de videoclip. In 2006 kwam er een tot nu toe niet uitgebrachte versie van de videoclip op het internet, deze clip is ook geregiceerd door Chris Applebaum maar nooit uitgebracht. In deze versie zien we een Céline die iets sexyer is.

De Europese versie van de single bevat ook een nooit eerder uitgebracht nummer namelijk All Because Of You, dit nummer was alleen te vinden op deze singel en op de Limeted Edition van A New Day Has Come. De singel bevat ook You Shook Me All Night Long een duet met Anastacia, opgenomen voor VH1 Divas Las Vegas, deze CD/DVD is uitgebracht in otber 2002

Naast dat we Goodbye's (The Saddest Word) kunnen vinden op A New Day Has Come is dit nummer ook terug te vinden op de Europese versie van My Love: Ultimate Essential Collection.
